Typically when it comes to the Novashine blog, we want to tell you everything about Teeth Whitening products. How they work, and how you can be your best self through maintaining great oral hygiene. We love it so much we don't even always talk about our own product here. We are always researching new methods of teeth whitening and Crest Emulsions has been under our radar for quite some time! You may have seen it in ads with Youtuber Patrick Starr and Olivia Culpo! If you're interested in learning more, in this blog we'll be talking about:

Does Crest Emulsions Work?
Let's Begin!
How Crest Emulsions Works:
When we first began researching Crest Emulsions the first step was to take it all apart into the formulation that creates it. Doing this helps us better understand how it works to whiten teeth! By doing this we found that it uses Hydrogen Peroxide as the main active ingredient. But, it also uses petroleum jelly to promote adhesion and consistency. We did note however that it didn't contain any anti-sensitivity ingredients such as potassium nitrate. Meaning it works in a similar fashion to their strips but, with the added factor that treatment time is fairly reduced leading to possibly less noticable results.
How Crest Emulsions is Made:
When decoding this product and putting it through our infinite range of tests we now know more about how it's made! It is made with Petrolatum (consistency and adhesions), Water, Hydrogen Peroxide (whitening agent), Flavor, Sucralose (sweetener), Sorbitan Palmitate (this stabilizes the ingredients).
Is Crest Emulsions Safe:
Yes! We are happy to say that Crest made this product as safe as possible for users. Although, we personally would add ingredients that make teeth stronger and reduce sensitivity!
Does Crest Emulsions Work:
We wanted to evaluate it based on whether it met the following criteria that we value in our own Teeth Whitening Kit:
- Ease of use.
- Makes teeth noticably shades whiter.
- No sensitivity.
- Set treatment time that produces results.
During our research on this product, we ran a small trial to find if this product really worked! Out of the 45 participants we studied, we found that only 18 experienced significant results. We found that due to the difficulty of application and the lack of significant treatment times, there could be high fluctuations when it comes to results. Out of the 45, 23 experienced sensitivity of some kind as well. The results did show that it worked, but could be drastically improved!
