The first movie on our list had to be the 90’s classic Hocus Pocus. This spooky comedy is perfect for setting the ultimate Halloween mood! The film takes place over one Halloween night that is taken over by spirits of the past. 1. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

This next movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas, was conceived by Tim Burton who has multiple films on this list and is well known for his gothic style. The ghouls and goblins of this film are sure to give you your spooky fix without scaring you too much!

  1. Corpse Bride (2005)

The second movie on this list created by Tim Burton is Corpse Bride. The chilling atmosphere, tragic story, and undead characters provide ample amounts of spooky vibes to make up for the fact that this isn’t actually a Halloween movie. It also contains one of the scariest situations I’ve ever heard of… an arranged marriage.
